Two Hours on Croyde Bay Building a Sandcastle Time-lapse

In June of this year I shot a time-lapse that I deemed a failure after I first shot it. The original idea was to build a sandcastle and time it just right so that it would capture the incoming tide washing the castle away. Unfortunately I misjudged the tide line and the sea stopped five meters short of our castle. I left the camera running and it captured some kids destroying the castle which worked out well in the end.

Best of eight months of Brighton street style

It’s been a while since I’ve posted any montage portraits to my site although I have been trickling them onto my Fragmented Portraits Tumblr. I’ve been posting two a week (new & some from the archive). I will have to up my posting rate as I have 295 montage portraits that are not on my tumblr yet!

I’ve been shooting montage portraits regularly for over three and half years. Over that time I have shot just under 400 portraits, definitely enough for a book which I plan to start working on soon.

All the montage portraits are shot on a Lomo LCA film camera and then are put together from five individual photographs. I recently shot a few of these up in London while being filmed for documentary on film photography by Anton. I will post the London pictures once the film is released.

Family Meredith does the 10 Seconds Project

My Family and I recently submitted to Alma Haser’s Ten Seconds Project. The project is based around the childhood game of hide and seek. Participants hide in front of two cameras, one with a 10 second timer and the second shooting video, the idea is to capture a photograph / video of yourself hiding in plan view like a child. Any one can submit to the Ten Seconds Project, it’s pretty simple you can read all the rules here. Because the Project is based around childhood it seemed a good idea to get my three year old daughter Matilda involved.
