Two year Brighton i360 construction photography

It’s not often as a photographer you get offered long term projects. It’s usually a day or a week so it’s with some excitement I can tell that along with Gary Eastwood I have been contracted to document all aspects of the construction of the i360. I will be shooting for two years from now till July 2016!

For those of you that don’t know the i360 is going to be Britain’s tallest observation tower, taller than the London Eye. The i360 has been designed and partly funded by David Marks and Julia Barfield of Marks Barfield Architects who also designed the London Eye.

It’s a really exciting project to be involved in with lots of great opportunities. So far all I have shot is a meeting between the sea front traders, i360 company and the construction company. As soon as I’ve done my health and safety course and acquired my steel toe cap boots I’m gonna be on site shooting away.

That’s a nice little project – will you be able to reveal images as you progress or will we have to wait til the project’s completed?
