‘I Dare the Wave, A Life to Save’ released by MiniClick
In June 2014 MiniClick published 5 photo publications including ‘I Dare the Wave, A Life to Save’ which showcases a collection of photographs by me based around one of the more eccentric members of Brighton swimming club: Dave Sawyers. Originally they just wanted to publish a set of pictures of Brighton Swimming Club. The Club is the oldest swimming club in the world with continuous membership and which I’ve been documenting since 2003. Early during their edit MiniClick realised that there was such a wealth of images that it was going to be tricky to edit it down so they decided to focus on one club member in particular.
Nine Recently Acquired Photography Books / Publications
A little run down of the photo books I’ve acquired, most of which I got by attending photographer’s talks and book launches which means I get to pick up rare photography books and don’t have to pay postage. Some of the books are readily available on amazon while others will be a little harder to get hold of.
If this leaves you hungry for more check out my other photo book recommendations in these blog posts: Three recently acquired photographic publications by Jim Mortram, MiniClick and Tom Groves and Three recently acquired photo books by Maciej Dakowicz, Martin Parr and Sam Hiscox
