I had the pleasure of attending the Gang up Magazine launch party 3 weeks ago. Gang up is a new fashion magazine produced by the photographers DarkDaze, Louie Banks, Sam Hiscox, model Sally Reynolds and the girls at Ophelia Fancy.
I was aware that they had been working on the magazine for some time but I knew little of its content or format. I was pleasantly surprised the 1st time I saw it on the launch night. It’s a beautifully designed and printed magazine with little written content, the only words are the credits for photographers, stylists and models. One of its other strengths is that it’s complety ad free which does make it little pricey (£12.99) but it’s worth it, it’s more a piece of art than a magazine. You can buy a copy from the Ophelia Fancy shop here.
Here are a few random lomo shots I took from the night. Left to right the dark lord darkdaze, some guy, Emma Sandham’King of Ophelia Fancy and Sally Reynolds.
Adam Bronkhorst aka the brownhorse went a bit more hi-tech than me and was there documenting all the ubür trendy types with a studio set up, check out the gallery of his shots here. The trendiest of them all was of course me as I was rocking my lomosexual t-shirt by boom!
