Brighton photo fringe shows

For the upcoming Brighton Photo Fringe Festival I will be putting on two shows. One is of my ongoing work documenting the Brighton swimming club and my other show is a selection of montages from my trend spotting images that I shot for Brighton Source Magazine called Brighton Threads.

The Brighton Photo Fringe Festival runs along side the Brighton Photo Biennial 2010 which this year is curated by none other than Martin Parr.

Daily Swim – 2nd October to 14th November

The 1st of my shows is called the Daily Swim, it is a selection of images captured over the past 7 years documenting the Brighton Sea Swimming Club. The photographs will be displayed outside in the usual setting of the swimming clubs changing facilities on Brighton beach for the opening weekend of the festival. It will be under cover so there is no chance of it getting rained off! I will be there for the entire opening weekend so come down and say hello. After the opening weekend it will move to Iydea Café until the end of the festival.

Brighton Treads – 9th October to 31st October

My second show is called Brighton Treads and is a collection of my montage portraits I have been shooting for Brighton source magazine since the start of the year. Early this year I had an exhibition of my montage portraits taken of notable Brighton folk but this is the 1st time that I will publicly exhibiting my fashion shots. To fit with the whole fashion theme the show will be at Beyond Retro, Brighton’s largest vintage cloths retailer. I spend quite a lot of time in Beyond Retro staking all the trending kids looking for people to shoot for the spot in Source so its the ideal place to display the work.
