‘I Dare the Wave, A Life to Save’ released by MiniClick
In June 2014 MiniClick published 5 photo publications including ‘I Dare the Wave, A Life to Save’ which showcases a collection of photographs by me based around one of the more eccentric members of Brighton swimming club: Dave Sawyers. Originally they just wanted to publish a set of pictures of Brighton Swimming Club. The Club is the oldest swimming club in the world with continuous membership and which I’ve been documenting since 2003. Early during their edit MiniClick realised that there was such a wealth of images that it was going to be tricky to edit it down so they decided to focus on one club member in particular.

Montage Portraits featured in Hungry Eye
My montage portraits are currently featured in the new issue of Hungry Eye. Last year Anton interviewed me and filmed me shooting some of my montage portraits for his new documentary film series Analogue Tribes (which you can see here). He has now turned our discussion into an article. Hungry Eye is a quarterly so it will be available until September 2014, look out for it in all good news agents.

Two year Brighton i360 construction photography
It’s not often as a photographer you get offered long term projects. It’s usually a day or a week so it’s with some excitement I can tell that along with Gary Eastwood I have been contracted to document all aspects of the construction of the i360. I will be shooting for two years from now till July 2016!
New photo book Published by MiniClick: I Dare the Wave, A Life to Save
MiniClick has started publishing small photo books focusing on one project. For those of you that don’t know MiniClick has been organising free photography talks in Brighton and further afield since 2010. I have had the pleasure of speaking at MiniClick on several occasions. So it’s with great pride that I can tell you that my work will be published along with 4 other photographers in the first set of photo books. They will launch on June the 25th at the Old Market in Hove.

Analogue Tribes Fragmented Portraits Documentary
Photographer Anton and founder of Lots of Little Ideas has been working on a series films titled ‘Analogue Tribes’ about photographers that still use film in a predominately digital age. Today he released the First Analogue Tribes film featuring me talking about my montage portraits. Last year we met up in East London and he documented me as I shot montage portraits of some hip East London cats. After a little wonder we went to the basement of the East London Lomography store where we had a little chat about my use of film.

It’s that time of year again and the Brighton Festival has once again rolled around, which in turn means it’s time for Brighton Open Houses. There is an absolutely overwhelming number of open houses, more than you could ever hope to get around even if you visited them on every weekend of the 4 week festival.
