I recently took part in the Samsung championship of speed. The event was geared towards showing all the speedy attributes of the Samsung NX300 camera. Samsung invited 30 Photo / Fashion / Tech bloggers from all over Europe to the UK to try out the NX300 and capture a series of images based around speed. The NX300 is a compact interchangeable lens camera with an APSc sensor (Same size as most DSLRs). Once you have the prime lens on it fits in your pocket. If you want to know more about the camera read my full review here.
The championship of speed was pretty full on; I don’t think I have done that much in the space of 48 hours ever. I will give you a little image based run down of what went on below. If you like the images below please vote for me on the championship of speed Facebook page and you could be in with a chance of winning a Samsung NX300 and the chance to met Usain Bolt in Paris.
All the images below were taken with a Samsung NX300.

The whole thing kicked off with a speed boat ride just outside Portsmouth harbor. I think my mustache hair being blown all ways sums up how fast these 50mph boats feel!

Then it was off to Goodwood race track, unfortunately we were a little behind schedule so we did not get to shoot race cars, but I did manage to get this shot of an old tanker truck before the next event.

Then we were off to Goodwood horse racing with our own free bar, I did get a little drunk but I still managed to get some shots.

This image was captured with Continuous High mode

With the standard Kit lens you can get some nice shallow depth of field. (Shot at F/8)

Shot of someone else taking a photo of the suset.

After the horse racing there was a Rudeamental DJ set in the parade ground. It was an odd experience seeing a crowd dressed up to the nines having a rave.

Think I may of forgotten to the use the lens hood for this one.

After a very late night in the hotel bar it was off to London for a whistle stop tour of the city. First stop was Trafalgar to capture “the city on the move”.

Then, because of time constraints we spent just ten minutes at Borough Market.

Shortly after we were at the top of the Shard for an impressive view of London.

Couple of day trippers taking in the view from the Shard.

Then, because one birds eye view is not enough we went for a little spin on the London Eye.

Everyone was hungry at this point so it was off to Camdon for food at drinks with….

some very beautiful people
